Okay well i have to do a speech in one of my classes with the topic "Optimism to me is…" and i want to include how people have been fighting cancer….and into that topic. The problem is, I am not sure how long scientist have been searching for cures for cancer. And also, how many false cures have there been in total?

I had a mastectomy Jan/16/05. I took chemo for three months. I want to tan but I’m afraid it will cause problems due to my cancer, even tho they got it all. I am on Femera. (cancer pill)
money that was given to discover the cure OR do you believe as I do that such a cure would be worth billions and they would expect to get their billions and in reality by donating money to find a cure for breast cancer you are just lining the pockets of corporate greed.
Do you think there should be a law governing the marketing of cures for diseases that are found with money that has been donated?

My sister-in-law had breast cancer a year ago. We all thought it was defeated. She started having headaches. Cat scan revealed 3 tumors on the brain.
Only thing recommended is radiation to shrink the tumors for a short period of time.
Anyone know of any, any other possible alternatives?
She is only 49 years old and too, precious to lose.
Like when people or who ever says they are trying to find a cure for cancer, is there something that all of the types of cancer have i common that they are trying to cure so it gets rid of every cancer? Or are they just trying to find a cure for a specific cancer like lung cancer or breast cancer?
