a friend of mine was dignosed with throat cancer a while back he took the chemo pills but didn’t finish them ?
->
he was told by his doctor that he was in remission he said. Now he tells me that it has moved into his neck but he refuses to have chemo or radiation or even take any medicine. what are his chances of survival and over coming this and if he was in remission how did it move into his neck. He is 59 years old and I don’t understand why he will not have any treatment, he still continues to work 12 hours a day I know this can not be good.

chemotherapy can be extremely draining on some people. It hurts, makes them nauseous, hurts to eat, makes food taste disgusting, makes them tired, yet unable to sleep, etc.
When a family member gets cancer a lot of the times we are told to brace ourselves that they may not accept medical treatment for these reasons. Maybe it is just too much for him? The best you can do is tell him you wish he would continue treatments, but support him either way.
You might be keen to check out nutria(supplement fr Canada) which might be able to contained the cancerous cells and not let it spread all over the body. It contained some ingredients that’s approved by the cancer institution. Visit http://www.lifestyles.net to learn more.
Another thing is your friend, hopefully, is having an optimistic outlook in life, if not, a depression state might caused his condition to worsen faster:( Hope he’ll get better soon.
Cancer cells "migrate" to different areas of the body if left untreated, and also can if treated, also. I know you care tremendously about your friend. He may feel tired of taking treatment, or feel like he doesn’t want to. Chemo and radiation are difficult to go through for a patient, both physically and mentally. It should be his decision about treatment, and try to support his wishes. Death is imminent without treatment. Try to make his last few months bearable for him. With his working, he may feel like he doesn’t want to lose control of his life, and he also may want to feel as independent as he can while not accepting his diagnosis as being fatal to him. My best to both of you.
i had chemo and radiotherapy for throat cancer i am 55 and the treatment worked i am still in remission.i have to say the treatment was very harsh on me and i spent 7 months in hospital,i would not like to repeat it.
