breast cancer,how would you know if you had this?
reason im asking is that ive had skin cancer for five years,just been for my all clear and ive got a tiny little lump under armpit,so doc wants me to have a scan,to be safe,i just recieved a letter for my appointment and im too go to the breast clinic for the scan,anyone been through anything or know anything simular,thankyou for your answers
You’ll know when you get the results back. No use worrying about something you have no control over at this point. Once you know, then you can take the next step – whatever that might be.
Although a scan may be able to identify if the lump is a tumor, the exact make up of the tumor won’t be able to be diagnosed without biopsy.
Depending on where your skin cancer was and the type of skin cancer you had, they may be looking for the spread of your original cancer to a lymph node rathewr than a new cancer such as breast cancer.
