Absolutely.
Radiation in LOW levels is capable of damaging DNA codons enough to cause cells to divide rampantly, of which is known as the dreaded malignant cancer! An example of this is the sun, which is constantly emitting radiation in low levels.
High levels of radiation increase the rate of the DNA damage exponentially, as radiation is one of the most dangerous mutagens you might encounter.
Yes. Radiation is a mutagen and i t can cause cancerous cells. Radiation can also be used as a treatment for cancer though, because if focused correctly it can kill masses of cells.
Yes. Many victims of the Hiroshima bombing suffered death or injury from radiation poisoning.
Yes, it certainly can.
Radiation can cause mutations in our cells which can lead to cancer.
Radiation can cause several different types of damage to living things.
Here is an article on radiation poisoning: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiation_poisoning
Either that, or it will turn you into a super-hero.
It also depends on the type of radiation. Some can’t penetrate clothing, but others could pretty much only be blocked by lead or a slab of concrete. Mostly, just stay out of the sun, and don’t get too many CAT scans, and you’ll be fine.
Yes , I read that the early researchers into X-Rays would commonly have their hand amputated because they were always using their hand as for testing the ability of X-Rays to see bones and would get cancer.
OBVIOUSLY!!
jam your head in a microwave. you’ll rid the world of stupid questions.
