They CLAIM that the electromagnetic radiation emitted by cell phones causes tumours. They are claiming that by putting a cell phone right against your head, you will give yourself a brain tumour. This is false. Electromagnetic (EM)radiation is NON-IONIZING, meaning it doesn’t damage cells and cause potential mutations (cancer). There is electromagetic radiation passing through you at all times. Your TV, radio, DVD player, computer… they all emit EM radiation. The myth of a cell phone causing tumours was made up by the manufacturers of hands-free cell phone accessories to scare you into buying a wireless head set (which also emits EM radiation). The biggest danger is poking yourself in the eye with the cell phone antenna.

Yes, it can. When radioactive waves travel through your nervous system. When you talk on your phone, or your standing in front of the microwave it travels through your body and somtimes can shut down your nervous, or bilateral system.

I’ve heard this before, but my science teacher said there’s not enough radiation to cause any cancer or anything. Unless you’re using one of those ancient cell phones, then you’re kinda on your own for that one =]

My science teacher said there is no proof anywhere that you can get a tumour from a cell phone.
