can working right next to a tv while feeling its static cause unnecessary radiation exposure cause cancer?

I was working very close to a tv because I had to make a repair on it. For a large amount of the time, the tv was turned on and I felt the static that was coming from the tv. I even felt it against my hair so is it possible that my head was too close to the tv, which it could possibly create the risk for cancer.
It was only for around 1 min that that the tv was on and it took me that amount of time to reset the cable box. Unfortunately, I was pressing the wrong combination of buttons and the tv wouldn’t go off so quickly, which is why I am concerned. Also, I felt the staticy feeling near my ear which is pretty close to the head. Therefore, it concerned me that harmful rays were coming from the tv despite t he short amount of time that I was near it.
I guess the amount of radiation that comes from brain ct scans would be more harmful than the amount that is coming from a tv. Wouldn’t this statement be accurate?

this depends on your tv that you are repairing. basically, if the tv set is a 1990s model, it will perhaps create random static waves since it is broking. if it is plasma or a newer type of television set, it can REDUCE the amount of rays produced, however, it should be safer to always disconnect the television and wait for a few minutes before going to work. this will let the energy be released and cause less harm.
