Can you get cancer or radiation poisoning from a MacBook if you have it on a lapdesk?
Every night when I use my computer, I have it sitting on my lap, on my lap desk. Can this harm me in any way?
A) You cannot get radiation poisoning – as it doesn’t exist.
B) Computers don’t give out radiation which penetrates the skin (it emits Alpha). Unless you are planning on swallowing the machine… with it on, you can’t be harmed.
The level of radiation is so low you’d have to have about 57,000 of them sitting on you. Then you could get cancer.
