Cancer/Chemo affecting metabolism?
->
I’m 28, and just got over Lymphoma some time ago. I was given Rotuxun and Chemo to do so.
Ever since then, my appetite has been almost insatiable. I’m constantly hungry or wanting something to eat. At first I attributed it to my body trying to recover from the massive weight loss (I went from 270 to 198 in about 3 or 4 months), but I’m pretty sure I’m back to a healthy weight now.
Has anyone ever heard of Cancer or Chemotherapy affecting Metabolism after it’s done?

ill Pray you to get well soon… i hope after this a few hours later or tomorrow.. your worried is no more..
Hi, Not sure how long after it has been since you finished your chemo, but I had a similar effect. Both during and for about 1-mnth after I was eating like a horse! Just couldn’t get enough, ate anything that didn’t move! This in fact was attributed not to the chemo drugs themselves but some additional steroids that were used in the cocktail mix to reduce the effects of nausea and stimulate appetite. In my case these additional additives were Tropisatan and Dexamathisore. What you are experiencing is not unusual and should subside in time.
All the Best;
You should have been told about this at the start of your treatment. It happens ALL the time! and can last for months after your treatment concludes. They tell you that it can take 12 months or so for all of the medications to leave your system.
