CT scan radiation and Cancer?
theres been recent articles about the danger lately. i just had one on my abdomenem (the highest level of radiation of a CT scan from my understanding). back when i was 19, i had one of my kidneys done. (that was 10 yrs ago.) Now im worried. could my risk of cancer be uppped now?
There has been no danger lately. The risk of cancer from diagnostic tests is minimal and CTs are not done for no reason at all. I have seen patients who were at Chernobyl who did not develop cancer for 25 years and that was radiation exposure.
