Do you think many cancer deaths attributed to the disease may actually be caused by effects from chemo?
->
Some cancer researchers have noted that , left untreated, the disease will not progress further, while some doctors have expressed reservations about chemo treatments.
Mark, you are lumping independent research into cancer with what can be termed conspiracy theories ? Seems like you are trying to poison the well here, using some topsy turvy analogy. Nice try.
Panda – such negativity, a real "take the chemo or else " mindset. Pretty much a protection racket approach.

Yes. My dad died because of over-chemeo in the throat region. What happened is that the main arteries dried up and broke like dead wood. He died losing all his blood because it was the aorta that dried up due to chemeo.
i dont think soo
they will die anywa, so weither its the chemo or the cancer whats the difference?
Yeah probably so, but i would look at it like a gamble.
Possibly, but without the right treatment you’re going to die anyway…
i dont think so my grandmother husband has cancer and chemo is extending his life expectancy but chemo is a LOT of pain
I am totally passing on the chemo.I stated that in the advanced medical directive. That includes any and all artificial means of life support. When this container burns out and becomes useless,so be it.
I watched an interesting speech on the web that seemed to concur w/ this hypothesis. They also said the same thing about AIDS and the drugs used to treat the disease.
I’ll see if I can find the link for you.
Only certain forms of cancer won’t progress further, and these tumors are probably benign. In this case chemo isn’t necessary, and one could have the tumor surgically removed of even left alone.
Then there are the tumors that will grow and spread like crazy, quickly killing the patient, if left untreated. The chemo in this case would prolong or even save the life of the patient.
Not all tumors are the same and therefore you cannot apply the same ‘study result’ to each.
Well . . considering that prior to introducing chemotherapy into the treatment plan many years ago . . cancer was a death sentence . . what do you think. There is no cure for cancer . . chemotherapy is used to shrink tumors so that surgery can be done easier . . chemotherapy is used in the prayer and hope that it kills of microscopic and tiny malignant cancers that have spred inside the body. The reason for chemotherapy is that it is a systemic treatment that follows the same pathways of metastatic microscopic disease .. it follows the blood paths.
But you don’t need to take my word, all you need to do is go into the research literature on PubMed and trace the progress made . . . see how many survivors there are compared to before they could offer chemotherapy. One of the reasons the US government declared ‘War on Cancer in 1971 was due to the high rate of deaths from cancer. One of the goals was to find consistent protocol and treatments for cancer . . they are still working on that goal . . but you must admit that people are now surviving longer and living with their cancer.
It isn’t perfect . . but the alternative remains death.
You may also be interested to know that the current trend is to target the cancer cell specifically with a daily medication . . there are chemotherapies used now which can control the growth of the tumor allowing the patient to ‘live with the cancer’ . . again, it isn’t a cure . . but patients can live with a good quality of life.
The answer is . . cancer caused the deaths . . cancer is not a game . . it is dead serious and does not allow a mistake to be made or it will kill you. Chemotherapy and the other treatment modalities offer a patient a chance . . only a chance . . not a guarantee . . a chance for life. Without it there is only death.
If by "the disease" you mean "an extremely small proportion of types of cancer", not all forms of cancer. Cancer is deadly. I’ve had relatives and friends pass away from it because it was caught too late and treatment was not longer an option for them or because the type of cancer they had was inoperable and had no viable treatment.
While all medications (everything from asprin to chemotherapy drugs) can have adverse reactions, the good they do does currently exceed the potential risks.
maybe.
but i believe its depends, some people might have an even worse reaction to chemo and die because of it.
however, some people are cancer free because of chemo.
and even if cancer does not progress when its left untreated, the patient is left untreated and might eventually die.
Not true dude!
It has been proved that fasting and much pray people have been healed from cancer.
Having a diet of Raw Veggies and fruit juice for a month, then eat healthy, then again, raw veggies and fruit juice for another month….Your starving the cancer, pumping tones of minerals and vitamins in your body…..Google it!
No. Chemotherapy is designed to stop the proliferation of mutated cancer cells…it is used to contain the cells. I am a two-time cancer survivor and I underwent extensive chemotherapy and radiation both times. The success of the chemotherapy depends on the type of cancer, the point at which the cancer was diagnosed, and (I personally believe) the patients out look and will to live. I’ve witnessed people passing away from cancers that most others survive, and I’ve witnessed people surviving cancers that most others pass away from. I believe that when it’s your time to go, it’s your time. :0)
"Some cancer researchers have noted that , left untreated, the disease will not progress further,"
Yes, and there are people that believe the Moon Landing and the Holocaust never happened…
no, and panda is right. It is obvious nothing anyone writes will change your limited mind.
So, when you get cancer remember your question.
