Does anybody know for sure how squmous cell cancer of the lung reacts to chemo?
->
We have 2 spots on her right lung diagnosed as squmous cell. I need to have an idea of how well the cancer will shrink before surgery. Hopefully alot. Any experience with this? Preliminary ct scans show no spreading yet. PET scan to be analyzed later. MRI of the brain clean.

epidermoid carcinoma (EH-pih-DUR-moyd KAHR-sih-NOH-muh)
Cancer that begins in squamous cells, which are thin, flat cells that look like fish scales. Squamous cells are found in the tissue that forms the surface of the skin, the lining of the hollow organs of the body, and the lining of the respiratory and digestive tracts. Also called squamous cell carcinoma.
non-small cell lung cancer characterised by the presence of cells that are flat and scale-like. It grows in the bronchi and tends to be localised for a longer period of time than other lung cancers. It responds to treatment better than other types of lung cancer and can remain in a precancerous stage for years. (
After two cycles of chemo the tumor had shrunk 30%, the fluid was down 70% and the nodules were 90% gone. I believe God was working through the doctors to heal me.
After four cycles of chemo, a CT scan showed that the tumor had shrunk another 30%, and everything else was gone. My oncologist now believed that they may be able to treat the tumor with radiation, so I was given a PET scan. I will always remember the doctor words as he said, “I have never seen anything quite like this, the cancer is gone and there is only scar tissue”
In February I will go for my first check up as a survivor. I can’t emphasize enough that you must believe that you will be healed. You have to believe in the doctors or yourself or something. If you believe that you will be healed your chances of becoming a survivor increase. I feel I had an edge because I believed that Jesus Christ heals and he still does miracles. I believe that God does the healing whether you believe in him or not.
I don’t know.
I can tell you this: Lung cancer has one of the worst prognosis there is. If the patient is still alive in 5 years after commencing therapy, even if they have been in a coma and are not expected to reawaken, that is called a success story, as long as they are cancer free. That is a fact.
You should look into Gerson therapy, Budwig therapy, alkaline diet, filtering both drinking and bath water, raw 100percent vegan diet, hyperthermia treatments. At the very least, you should research what the Burzynski clinic has to offer. They do free clinical trials, and take some types of medical insurance. They are more conventional than the other therapies I mention, but without the terrible damage and life threatening sickness caused by chemotherapy. (Chemotherapy itself may kill more people than cancer. Not many people know that, but chem is very dangerous.)
Burzynski clinic has real doctors and nurses, and I have read many good thing about them. Please, if you do not look into the other things I mention, then at least look into what Burzynski clinic has to offer. Here is a link:
