Does my dog have cancer?
->
I have a 9 year old lab that has severally swollen lymph nodes under the neck. We have been to the vet and she suspects lymphoma. The vet says there is a small chance that our dog could have an infection.
The dog’s bloodwork came back and it looks like her liver is giving her problems. Plus the dog has a fever.
Could lymphoma cause this issue with the liver along with a low fever? I’m thinking, and really hoping, that this is an infection.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this and could shed some light on it. We take the dog to a cancer clinic tomorrow.

Yes, it might be cancer. My friend’s dog got cancer on one of it’s foreleg, and the vet had to cut the whole leg off so it doesnt spread…
If your lucky, the lump might be a removable tumor.
So Good Luck
yes that happened to my dog on june it started on behind the ear and it went all the way to the neck so im really sorry to tell you that he does and my dog also went to the vet but anyway it died so im really sorry
Make absolutely sure that it is cancer before any assumptions. If it is cancer do not let them go on to long. It is very painful and the treatment is worse. Take peace in she gave you the very best life you could have, now it’s your turn to take care of her. Don’t put her thru the hideous surgery I did it and it was the worst thing I could of ever done. I didn’t realize at the time I was doing it for me and not her. The cancer came back twice as big and I put her thru so much agony I wil never forgive myself.
It’s impossible to tell online. You can’t rule out cancer, no, but it’s not all that uncommon for older dogs to develop what feels like knots under the skin.
Lymphoma sounds likely based on the symptoms you’ve listed. You do need to keep in mind that a 9 yr old large breed dog is not young.
Sorry to hear your dog is having a hard time. Good luck.
