How do you feel about the mom on the run with her cancer ridden child who refuses chemo?

I get the feeling a lot more people are going to know what it feels like to have to run from the government, real soon.

A women can choose to have an abortion — but can’t refuse medical attention for Her 13 year old son?? How hypocritical — and sad :( (the blind leading the blind)!

    Does this make sense ??

I think she’s messed up in the head and the kid needs to be taken for his own safety.

And as the guy above me said: Isn’t this pretty much what some people like to equate abortion as?

Terry: I could be wrong but I remember reading he had about an 80-90% chance of ending up just fine. She was only refusing due to religious reasons.

I think its about time holistic medicine gets the spotlight for cancer treatment.

i don’t know enough of the circumstances to have an opinion. chemotherapy is not without risks and can have severe symptoms. she might just be trying to let her son enjoy the time he has left.

The odds are that he will die and she will be tried for murder.

It’s very sad. I feel sorry for those kinds of people.

My answer would be over your head.

But simply put I do believe in individual freedom.

She’s acting according to her beliefs.

You could say but what if the child dies of cancer.

Others could say what of all the people who have died in the hands of medicine and otherwise would have lived had they had stayed at home.

Many adults choose to take their chances with cancer rather than go through the pain of chemo.

Another important fact to consider. We brag to have the best health care, yet we rank in the top of nations with unhealthy people.

Seriously? A) there are medicinal traditions going back thousands of years that can efficiently fully eliminate cancer. The vast majority of people don’t seem to understand that Chemo does more harm than good. B) as to the religion thing, hmm… a spiritual tradition that has a strong belief in natural healers… ain’t that a shocker.
