It depends on the type of cancer you want to write about. Since cancer is many many kinds and not just one, it would be nice to know which kind you’re asking about. If you’re asking about cancer in general, then maybe I can help you there. Cancer doesn’t affect your body as much as it does your mind. I had breast cancer. At first, my thought was death for sure, but I know how it is one of the most curable if caught on time. For me, I had physical pain with breast cancer whereas most do not feel pain. The pain was the only reason I did a self check and found the tumors. It wasn’t until I had a bi-lateral mastectomy that my Dr found 10 tumors in all. That was because after the first mastectomy, more tumors grew at the surgical site.7 more to be exact. and 2 more in the other breast. I had 7 in one breast and 3 in the other. In all, I am so grateful. I have no breast, but I don’t care, I have life. I will see if I can find better info for you because I don’t think this is what you’re looking for after reading your question again. Sorry, I’ll look

It really depends on the type of cancer, what stage it is in, how aggressive it is, how healthy the persons immune system is, etc. Some people don’t even know they have it until end stage (like my stepfather). In his case, he had liver cancer and started complaining of terrible pains in his stomach. He had alot of fluid buildup (ascites?) in his chest, which he thought was a beer belly. This was all before he started any kind of treatment. You might research how cancer overtakes healthy cells in the body. Thats what it pretty much boils down to, everything else is symptoms of that. Good luck.
