How safe is microwaving. Does the radiation cause cancer?
With the number of cancer patients increasing everyday, does microwave radiation in any way cause cancer? does the radiation affect the food and which in turn if consumed, pose a health hazard?
if plastic is not good, then how safe is ‘rubber maid’ and other branded containers? or should we use only ceramic or glass bowls.
is standing near the microwave also dangerous and exposes us to radiation.
what is the concept behind microwaving. what radio waves are used. how is it that food is heated from centre to outside?
an egg with the shell bursts if microwaved. but even a hard boiled cold egg if re-heated bursts.
should we use microwave only for defrosting, thawing or re-heating?
The radiation produced by a microwave oven is non-ionizing. As such, it does not have the cancer risks associated with ionizing radiation such as X-rays, ultraviolet light, and nuclear radioactive decay. Any cancer risk from microwave ovens would necessarily occur by an unknown mechanism. Such a mechanism, if existent, would also need to be far weaker than that for ionizing radiation, since long-term rodent studies of a type which easily identify cancer risks of ionizing radiation, have so far failed to clearly identify any carcinogenicity from 2450 MHz microwave radiation at chronic (large fraction of life span) exposure levels, far larger than humans are likely to encounter even from leaking ovens.
Tobacco use is the single largest preventable cause of cancer in the world. One fifth of all cancers worldwide are caused by a chronic infection, for example human papillomavirus (HPV) causes cervical cancer and hepatitis B virus (HBV) causes liver cancer. 40% of cancer could be prevented, mainly by not using tobacco, having a healthy diet, being physically active and preventing infections that may cause cancer.

No proof to that effect. if you are going to worry about every report of a possible cancer in mice you will live on an island on cocanuts.
The amount of radiation coming from the Microwave is minimal. Feel free to use the microwave the way it was intended to be used.
just be sure to use only ceremic or glass ware, definitely no plastic.
I GOT RID OF MINE CAUSE I DO NOT TRUST THEM. DO NOT USE PLASTIC. NEVER BITE INTO AN HARD BOILED EGG FROM MICRO. WILL EXPLODE IN YOUR MOUTH AND BURN YOU!
Microwaving food is 100% deadly. Eating said food will kill you almost immediately. Save yourself– eat only raw fruits and vegetables, nuts, berries and the occasional tree branch. If you’ve been eating microwaved foods for any length of time at all, the risk that you will develop brain cancer and bowel gas at the same time is overwhelming. You could say you are already dead.
