Ive seen this a few times actually. Its best to pretend that they dont exist. They have protected themselves.. Its really NOT about that confrontation than its about the THREAT of Liability of treating you have reached a Apex.

I worked in a hospital, and as far as I know, it is not allowed to erase any part of your medical records, either way, what they have said, or what you have said. That is equal. However, you could try a letter of apology, stating that you were stressed at the time and stating the reason why. This is all I can recommend for now. They have the right to suspend you from their service if they feel you have caused undue concern to one of the staff, which is be classed as verbal abuse. If you want to make a complaint is better to do so in writing, just setting out the facts in a calm fashion to the appropriate person. This would secure your dignity and keep you out of trouble!

I've never seen the word pique used as you have and I'm not quite sure of your meaning. Since you used the word clinician, I'm guessing you're in the UK or Australia and not the US.

Even though your heart stopped, I assume you're ok otherwise. If not, I don't think you'd be writing this now. Have there been any lingering or permanent effects from the procedure? Are you absolutely sure someone botched the job? If so, who told you so? If your heart stopped, you were unconscious so you know nothing of what happened. Also keep in mind that even when everything is done correctly and by the book, things occasionally go wrong meaning if there's any "fault", it's the patient's own physical makeup that's the problem. Just like the way some people are allergic to peanuts and die. It's not the peanut's fault.

When you go threatening people with a lawsuit, of course they're going to distance themselves from you. As far as the letter goes, it's probably of little relevance since had you stuck around for a few more minutes after the argument, they would have told you to take a hike and not come back anyway. In addition, them implying it was their decision is also of little relevance because even with that part omitted, they'd still probably have in your records that you had a fit and made threats.

Concerning the new clinic, if they ask hopefully you can convince them you were under a lot of stress which led to you throwing a hissy fit. Either way, if the first clinic tells them you threatened to sue them, the new clinic is going to be very reluctant to go out of their way to accomodate you. Your temper got you in trouble and now it's up to you to get yourself out.
