If an 84 year old is diagnosed with cancer, what are the chances of him dyeing?
->
My papa was diagnosed with cancer, and i was wondering if it’s easier for older people to die from cancer then younger people.

I know this is hard to hear, but yes, he has a bigger chance of dieing. A lot of older people cant handle as harsh a treatment as younger people can. Most older people cant handle as agressive of a treatment that younger people can.
That is not written in stone though. This is just statistical facts. A lot will depend on type of cancer, how advanced it is, and his overall health other wise.
The further advanced his cancer and the worse overall otherwise health the worse his chances. If the cancer was caught early and he is in otherwise good health, his chances are better.
100% Everybody dies. Sorry to hear about your dad
good, he’ll probably die
Is it easier for older people to die from cancer then younger people.
Well, if I was 84 and had cancer and one of my kids is younger and had cancer, I would say, that it would be easier for me to die, then my child.
If your papa has been diagnosed with cancer of the age of 84, than he should talk to his oncologist about his treatment options. The oncologist would be the one to give you an accurate answer to your question.
It depends on the type of cancer and the stage of cancer and therefor the treatments are all different. If your papa has a slow growing cancer he might not want to have any treatment at all.
