Cancer Treatment Options Forum - May 13th, 2011 - 2 Comments

I'm a tongue cancer patient, this is a recurrence and I was told UI would get chemotherapy and radiation again?

What are the chances for survival since I never felt any improvement in my condition, radiation made a mess in my mouth, all burned out, never able to eat solids again, 3 dentures that never fit. What are my hopes, Drs. say this time treatment will be different. Any help?

I hope you are not going back to the same doctors. Your experience is not typical. Things happen, but you need to get it right and you need at least one other opinion.

One of my best friends had to go thru treatments for the mouth cancer in 1997 and again 2003 She did much better the second time and even talks just like she did when she was younger now.
After the frist treatments she has a small lisp when speaking some words.
God bless your heart, I will pray for you.
