Chemo causes your hair to fall out- not the cancer.

it is the chemo that does it. but not always.

It’s the chemo drugs that do this.

Chemotherapy causes hair to fall out because of the drugs used. Though chemotherapy for many people isn’t the same as someone else’s chemotherapy. Some drugs used in chemo don’t affect hair at all, and some chemo that does affect hair loss doesn’t affect some people. It is all very individualized.

It isn’t typically chemo that causes hair loss. It is radiation therapy that does that. Some chemo can severely thin the hair, but generally when you see someone clean bald who is a cancer patient, they have had radiation treatments.

Chemo can. I have had 2 different types of chemo and neither made my hair fall out, however, raidation did cause me to lose all of my hair.

It’s the drugs that are in the chemotherapy that make your hair fall out. If you were to not receive chemotherapy, you would still have all of your hair.

Cancer itself rarely causes hair loss.

There are many different forms of chemotherapy, some cause no hair loss, some cause hair thinning and others cause total hair loss.

There is also radiation therapy, that tends to cause localised hair loss in the area irradiated.

chemotherapy side-effect causes hair lose and weight lose. it happens because chemo drugs attack
cancerous cell as well as healthy hair/skin cells.

chemo-therapy does because of the gamma rays it uses.
