Is immunotherapy the key to cancer cure?

Cancer research is now starting to focus on cancer stem cells and immunotherapy to eradicate cancer. Cancer stem cells may be the root cause of cancer, but there is evidence that immunotherapy may be able to eradicate cancers completely.

There appears to be cancer immune people who can live to be 100 and never get cancer, even if they smoke. They may have a natural immunity to cancer.
Wake Forest researchers have recently found cancer immune humans and are proposing a trial to transfer the white blood cells of these humans into cancer patients to see if their cancers will disappear. They already have done this in mice with complete success (SR/CR mice cancer immunity).
There are also IDO and SOX2 immunity studies being researched.
Wake Forest discovered mice that are resistant to cancer completely. They then transferred the white blood cells of these mice to other mice with cancer. The cancers were completely eradicated and they mice lived normal lives. This is innate immunity and this is the first time this has been shown. Researchers are trying to find the genetic cause of this to see if they can activate the same gene in humans.

They also have identified cancer immune people and want to to transfer these people’s white blood cells to humans in trials this fall. \Would be incredible if this worked. NP
