Is it true that we are the only country in the world that still uses chemo to fight cancer?

Is it true the medical industry still uses chemo just because it is a billion dollar industry, or does it really actually save people’s lives?

I assume you mean America? No, chemo is used throughout the world to treat cancer.

It may not be perfect but we know, because it has been rigorously tested and proven in double-blind clinical trials, that it saves many lives and prolongs many, many more.

I’ve seen odd rumours like this on YA before – not long ago there were a few posts claiming that there was a cure for breast cancer in use in Europe that the FDA wouldn’t approve for America because it would mean loss of profits. As a European who’s currently in remission from breast cancer and who’s lost two friends to it this year – I bloody wish!

Where I live we don’t pay for our medical treatment, including cancer treatment; if there were an effective and cheaper cancer treatment available believe me that’s what we’d be getting, because cancer treatment including chemo costs our government billions.

Chemo is still used throughout the World as the number one treatment of cancer’s.

It does save people’s lives. Putting them into remission.

Other’s it gives extra time and life on this Earth.

Chemotherapy is worth all the side effects for a LOT of people.

Chemo is used all over the world, as are hormonal drugs, radiotherapy, etc.

http://www.after-cancer.com receives hits from over 70 countries around the world, and they wouldn’t log on if their patients were not using chemo or drugs.
