Is there anyone that has not taken radiation for breast cancer?

I have breast cancer and I can not find anyone that has not taken the treatment. It seems no one ever questions the Dr’s they just do what they say. With all the side effects of it I am scared of it as I have other conditions that I have to take in consideration. Also, who has taken the twice a day treatment?

There are many women who do not have radiation. Not everyone needs it. There is no natural way to cure cancer.

there are natural remedies that don’t involve chemo. If one is using chemo need to tell doctor about using natural means to fight cancer. Sometimes it may have negative outcome to use both at the same time—please consult your doctor, If taking vitamins or other natural supplements while on chemo. For your own good.

I have had breast cancer and also chemo and radiation.
I know that a lot of people do refuse to have both or either of this treatment, but I cannot understand why.
My cancer cells had spread into the lymph glands under my arm so I felt I had to have both treatments to get rid of any cells that had spread.
The radiation was every day for 3 weeks and was just being under a big machine having an x ray. I had no reaction until the end of the treatment, when my skin began to go sore and peel off, but it healed after a few weeks. The only permanent legacy is having lyphodema in the arm, I have to wear an elastic sleeve during the day to drain the lymph fluid as I no longer have glands that normally do the job.
Its a small price to pay for the insurance of getting rid of any stray cancer cells.
I had to have a heart valve operation 2yrs ago and the surgeon said I could have complications of the radiation treatment making tissue stick together, but fortunately I was fine.
I think it is important to follow alternative therapies, I did this, but I did so as an addition to traditional treatment.
My cancer was 14 years ago, and I dont regret my choices.
My way of thinking is that cancer is unpredictable, so dont refuse anything. Throw everything at it. Sort the side effects out later.

I haven’t had radiation, but that’s because my cancer has spread to bony areas, and they said it would do no good. If all it does is give you a sunburn…. big deal. Chemo makes you throw up, tired, fatigued, nauseous, unable to keep food down, not wanting to eat even if you’re starving, and other stuff as well.

If you have cancer, WHY would you not do what the Dr. says? Tell the doctor what your other conditions are. But i do not see where an x-ray would matter. Would you rather die? ‘Cause that’s the way you make it sound. Me, I’m doing everything i can… i don’t even care if my hair is gone: if it’s my hair or me, i can STAY bald! I’m in Stage 4… after that, there is no after that.

My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer – which had also spread to two spots in her bones.
The doctor gave her radiation for the spots in her bones – which was a complete success…she had ZERO side effects, and then had 6 rounds of chemo. The tumor…stage 4, is completely gone!!!
They were going to remove the breast…but have now discovered 2 additional, very small lesions in her bones. They don’t want to give her more radiation…since it can become dangerous if you have too many. But my mother is hormone positive…which means they can starve the cancer by eliminating that hormone. She also tested positive for the HER2 Gene…So she takes herceptin for that.
My mom was diagnosed in July – and was finished everything the beginning of december that same year. Why would you not do what you could to beat this disease? My mom was convinced that she would beat the cancer…and she did…she’s doing it…she’s my idol!
