And are they less expensive then having actual radiation treatments?

No, not exactly. They do make radiation capsules that can be implanted in the cancerous area to help fight the cancer. Usually used in persons with stage 2, 3 and 4 cancers.
But there are no radiation pills that you can take orally. Radiation HAS to be in the affected areas only.
