Just like in CANCER, couldn't RADIATION therapy be used in a case like this?
->
Just read the news about a firefighter captain who’s gravely ill with a brain-eating disease which is called BALAMUTHIA MANDRILLARIS. And it’s made me wonder if radiation is used in any other type of disease besides some types or most cancers.
If it is, why isn’t it recommendable in a brain disease such as the one I mentioned?

Radiation is directed at a specific area to kill off cells. It is like taking a blow torch to the area. The brain disease is doing that already – But I see your point – sort of cauterize the area to stop the bug that is doing the damage. If it was my head – I would consider it. What’s to lose?
