Omega 3 fatty acid (taken as Fish oil )and lung cancer?
We all know thant Omega 3 fatty is good for our health. Today i was reading one article it said Omega 3 fatty can increase lung cancer—Is it true? http://www.ahrq.gov/CLINIC/epcsums/o3cansum.htm

I take Omega 3 fatty acid as fish oil table every day for my dry eye. Any one can please explain truth about relation between Omega 3 fatty acid and lung cancer.

The general impression and advices given by the doctors are that Omega 3 fatty acids help us in curring and not getting cancers, but the news given by you is very vital and we have to think over it. I also heard from a physician friend that these Omega 3 fatty acid increases the chances of cancer. There are different opinions on this subject form the medical fraternity
Although some research supports the anti-cancer claims made for omega-3 fatty acids, some does not. Some studies even show an increase in disease when omega-3 supplements are used. The strongest evidence for the health benefits of fatty acids from fish is in the area of heart disease and its risk factors. The relationship between omega-3 fatty acids, cancer, and other diseases is not as well known. It is also said that the Fatty acid Omega 3 in fish oil do not reduce the possibility of getting cancers.
