Margaret, the other posters are correct, there are always options. Here are some websites that will help answer your questions. The actual answer depends on the type of "ovarian cancer" and its stage.
There are three main forms of treatment for ovarian cancer:
Surgery to remove cancerous tissue.
Chemotherapy to destroy cancer cells using strong anti-cancer drugs.
Radiotherapy to destroy cancer cells by high-energy radiation exposure.

Good Luck and God Bless …
don’t mean to give you false hope, but recently, we had a 72 yr old nurse working , that had abd pain. later determined to be ovarian ca. she had surgery and other meds, recovered and is back to work. I can’t believe it, Don’t give up, You are too young. I did see a pt in her 50′s when I was a young nurse, that radiation did damage to soft tissue in her abd and she was in the hosp for over 6 mo w a saline drip constant in her open abd wound from radiation, not the cancer, she eventually died. Try Cancer Centers of america. I would. Cancer can metasize anywhere, when it gets to lungs/kidneys/liver, it’s not a good sign. Explore your options and find the best you can afford! God bless you.
You did not do the wrong thing. The best chance for cure with this disease is dependant on removing all of the tumor and that is not always an easy thing to do. The survival rates for ovarian cancers have remained the same for over 30 years. There is chemo, but how well it works depends on the kind of cancer you have and if they were able to completely remove the tumor or not. Some types of ovarian cancers do metastasize, but most create implants over the serosal surface and spread by direct extension.
I feel for you. They can give TAXOL for Ovarian C. plus other drugs IF
they catch it soon enough. Even if it has spread to a higher stage
they keep women alive for much longer than previously.
Here’s some other drugs to mention to your doctors: Hyccamtin,Gemzar,R1549 antibody therapy and also
Irofulven.
I know someone with a late stage, discoved 5 years ago and
she’s still working her job. You discovered it at a young age and
didn’t mention how long you’ve known you’ve had it.
Yes , I believe medicine can cause inflamation in our organs
and that may be what they are seeing. But just keep asking questions and go to Google and put in "national organization for the prevention
of ovarian cancer." You should get some 800 phone numbers with
helpful , knowledgeable people who can really answer the questions
you have.
Best of luck in dealing with this difficult disease. Please go to
