photocopier, radiation and cancer

Today I was using my computer printer/scanner(HP c7280) in one to scan about 35 pages of my assessment to have on my computer and for half of those copies, i didn’t put the thing down but held the paper down with my hand. How likely is it that I will get cancer from the radiation onto my hand when i was scanning these 35 pages? I have heard that you can get cancer from the radiation from photocopiers.

    radiation from a scanner?

a scanner does not use "radiation"

    it uses light.

    this is a joke, right

You get cancer for microwaves since when does a printer scanner give off microwave.

If I was you I would run from the kitchen when you use your microwave.oven

There actually is no radiation being emitted from a scanner.

The reason we don’t get too close to scanners is becuase the bulb is extremely bright and can cause damage to ones sight if you stare at it, however cancer, not going to happen.
