Skin Cancer, Tanning, Mole- How long is too long to wait?

I have been tanning for about 4 months, nothing too crazy, at most, 3 times a week but usually 1 or 2 times if that. I have always had olive skin tone and a few moles to due my heritage (french and ukrainian) I had my moles checked annually for the last two years. I have a mole that looks a little weird, not bleeding, not sore, color is ok. Just irregular border but I do believe there has been some change in it. Anyways I got a referral from my doc to the only dermatologist in town and my apt isn’t for another TWO MONTHS! The clinic is only open two days a week, 9AM-2PM and cancer patients (obviously) have priority.I have to give one months notice at the tanning salon; I think I know the answer to this but: should I just stop tanning alltogether for the last month while my contract runs out? If I do have cancer will going to the salon a few more times make me cross the line of "too late"? Will it make it spread faster if I do have cancer? I am worried…
Does anyone have a similiar story?

I always say better be safe than sorry, even though you have an olive skin tone and if it’s a mole that you already have and it’s growing it might be melanoma. I would stop tanning till you see your dermatologist
