Success Thoughts from Dr. Larry Iverson

Cancer Success Thoughts

“Everything on the earth has purpose, every disease an herb to cure
it, and every person a mission.”
– Mourning Dove (1888-1936)

Ever have days, where it sure doesn’t feel like you have a mission?

You’re not alone.

Purpose and mission–what big, powerful concepts.  Yet, when we keep
it very simple–they are just the stuff you’ve thought about, and
made a decision to do.  Your purpose or mission could become to be
the best friend you can be, to those you call your friends.
Simple, isn’t it–but maybe not.

For inside of that simple concept are numerous facets of
complexity.  Your purpose is driven by, and guided by, the
principles and beliefs you hold dear–the ones you actually live.
This is really about honor and integrity.  About being real,
positive and proactive.

Those people and activities you value, and really put your heart
into, are chunks of your purpose and mission.  Live every day with
the best you’ve got to give, and with all the fun you can find.
When you do this, the people who experience your vitality and
passion will be inspired and enjoy interacting with you.

Ok.  Alright.  Yes, there is that big, gigantic, overarching,
powerful, earth shaking purpose and mission that only you can
achieve.  But, a key to making that happen (if you’ve actually
figured out what the heck it is) is to live each day with all the
joy and passion you can muster.

Get out there and go for it!  Give your work, family, community,
studies, music, or whatever–the absolutely best you’ve got.  You’ll
enjoy all your life more, and those you cross paths with will be in
touched by the positive waves that ripple out all around you.

Make Today A Great Day!
