Success Thoughts from Dr. Larry Iverson

Cancer Success Thoughts

“Form the habit of making decisions when your spirit is fresh. To
let dark moods lead you is like choosing cowards to command your
armies.”
– Charles Horton Cooley (1864-1929)

You aren’t human if you don’t occasionally feel down.  But,
allowing your attitude to stay down is a poor decision.

“…when your spirit is fresh.”  Have you noticed that when you begin
certain projects, your passion and energy are high?  Where with
others, you begin and it’s a drudgery?  Ramp up your desire, energy
and focus, and you soar into any task.

The “dark mood” is like driving with your brakes on.  It’s
continually telling you to either gripe and complain, to slow down,
to do something else, or to stop.  Passion dies….

Each moment of every day you choose your focus.  The coward and the
brave both have fears and concerns.  But one doesn’t allow their
progress to be impeded by the negative input.  Instead they focus
on what they can do, versus what they can’t.

You are daily guiding your army–even if it’s an army consisting of
only you.  Consider the negative possibilities, yet never give your
power away to them.  No one can stop you, unless you choose to
stop.  Don’t give up on yourself–you have way too many things going
for you.

Make Today and Every Day Exceptional,

Dr. Larry
