If you believe in God how could you not believe he put doctors and treatments here for a reason. I would have to say I agree with the judge. How could you not try to save your child’s life.. I would do everything in my power to save my children..

This is ONLY my opinion on the matter. But nowadays, people know that you can say “it’s against my religious beliefs” and you’re most likely excused from whatever the issue is. Whether they truly believe that way or not, well that’s always debatable. But with that said, how can we know if people really are religious and mean what they say? Versus saying it to just get off the hook?

If I read the article correctly, they said this little boy had ONE single treatment. Nothing can be determined from one single treatment.

I can’t judge on the issue. I’m not in those parents shoes (thank goodness) and my son doesn’t have a terminal illness. I wouldn’t know what to say about it unless I was in that spot directly. I also know that I would fight hard as hell to beat the cancer, if my child was sick. Whatever I was advised for my son, I’d listen to the medical staff who deals with the disease on a daily basis. And I would do my research myself.

I hope, in any case, that someone is looking out for the best interest of this little boy. Whether it be the judge, or his parents, I don’t know. But I feel for the entire family for having to carry this weight on their shoulders because it can’t be an easy situation.

I happen to agree with the judge. Are his parents idiots? if this kid doesn’t get treatment he will die, if he does he has chances of survival, I don’t get how a parent in their right mind can make this stupid choices.

I think this is one of the biggest problems with religion. Prayer doesn’t fix everything. This child has CANCER – he needs radiation, chemo, etc. if he is going to have any chance at all of surviving. His parents might as well put a pillow over his head and suffocate him. They’re killing their child by not allowing him the chance to get better.

i just asked this question also..im having a hard time with figuring this one out…i don’t think its right for a judge to do but at the same time how can parents not do what they can to save their child’s life…

this is a tough one..but i really don’t believe the government should get involved in religion..they refused chemo because of religious beliefs..

wow a judge who has balls **** what some cult has to say the kid is dying of cancer not the flu he needs real medical help not a bunch of crackpot medicines plus most native americans go to hospitals for illnesses not natural treatment

Yes I agree with it.

I see it in the same light as the law stepping in when a father’s religious beliefs tell him that his child need to be beaten daily to drive out the devils. Should we allow that to happen since it is part of his religion?

I do not feel that we can morally or ethically stand by while someone lets their child die when that child can be saved.

This cancer has a 95% survival rate with treatment. The single chemo treatment he got caused the tumor to shrink and now the parents decide to listen to a possible fraud who claims to have cured himself of cancer..

First of all I am glad that I am not in their position. But as a parent you always want the best for your children that also means going against your religion. But it is to save their child and that should be the parents first priority and not to worry about their religion. At this point their religion is not going to save their child.

His parents are idiots and they are using their "religion" to neglect this son. The poor kid has been brainwashed by them. The court is obviously more clear-thinking then this boy’s parents, and lucky for him, maybe he’ll have a chance at life now. It’s PATHETIC that the courts have to get involved in something like this.

Oh this is Truly shocking and the parents oh my goodness i know what my Dad went through with cancer and Chemo but he went in remission for 20 years because he had it done, the parents should be ashamed that its come to this and the judge was right, this treatment could and will save him as it did my Dad
