what is the job of the people who administer radiation for cancer patients?

I was looking at radiation tech, which seems to be more of an x-ray tech, is that the same thing?

A radiologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the use of radiation in medical care. There are technicians that administer xrays, radiation doses, etc. under the supervisor or orders of the doctor.

e.g. xray technician takes the xray, radiologist reads them. The doctor defines the radioactive iodine dose (for thyroid cancer), tech delivers. etc.

    Radiologist is the job

    Radiology is the Field

Sort of, its a different wave length, long term or repeated exposure to x-ray can have similar effects to the body as radiation to destroy immune systems, but it isn’t as direct.
