They are there to hear what and if I want to talk about any thing.Having me remember the times in my life that would make any one laugh.Laughter is the best healing there is and it make you feel there is nothing wrong at that moment . I went through the same thing. but in reality he needs to come to grips with it himself. believe it or not he will. my father in-law picked out his own plot.and wasn't that depressed by it. I guess when devastation happens we just have to except it. it's the everyday bull!@#$ that we all whine about. it really makes you think though doesn't it. just be there. good luck I hope he beats it. father in-law died of cancer. sorry there is nothing you can really say.

He can get a wig covered by insurance if he gets the oncologist to write a prescription for a "hair prosthesis". Immodium is good to have on hand for diarrhea caused by chemo (ask the doc first). Crackers and chilled bottled water are good with chemo. Stay ahead of the nausea with the anti-nausea pills, once the nausea takes hold, you don't want to even look at a pill. Cool bland high protein meals are good for keeping blood levels up (ie cold hard boiled eggs and Arby's or Rax plain roast beef sandwiches).
